Cooking at Acocks Green
Mr Davies is our Cookery leader.
Each half term, Mr Davies plans exciting dishes for the children from EYFS all the way up to Year 6 to create. We are fortunate enough to have 2 cookery rooms at school which are used daily by the children. The children prepare their own ingredients, some of which we have grown in our school garden beds, to create delicious meals from all around the world! They enjoy tasting them and taking a small pot home each time they cook to share with their families. All of the chopping, grating, sieving, weighing, frying, caramelising, boiling, scrambling and roasting is done by the children, under direct supervision from their teaching assistant - and, of course, the washing up!
