Action for Happiness from Mrs Liversidge: Make a plan with friends to do something fun together. For some of you, you'll be doing this next week if you are back in school. If you're at home, keep looking forward to the things you can do when you see your friends next.

The only competition you should have is with yourself. When you go to bed tonight, look back on the day you had and see if you are proud of the way you completed each task. If you are not, then work on being a better version of yourself tomorrow.

 Action for Happinesfrom Mrs Liversidge: Say positive things in your conversations with others today. It's ALWAYS good to talk and even better to be positive and kind in the talking that you do. How many positive, happy things can you say to others today and really mean them? I bet you can get over 30!

Mrs Khan’s THOUGHT OF THE DAY: “Be Silly, Be Honest, Be Kind.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson- So simple, yet so powerful. Being silly allows you to remain joyful and happy with yourself and life. Being honest means that people will trust you and being kind creates loving relationships. These three little behaviours in everyone would create such a beautiful world. Which of these qualities will you try today?

Action for Happiness from MrsLiversidge:  Take a photo, or draw a picture, of something that brings you joy and share it. What have been the happiest things you can remember from being at home over these past weeks? What will you remember that makes you smile? Have a little think about it and enjoy the moment.

There is a lot in life that you will not be able to change for one reason or another. The best way to find peace and confidence in yourself is to not let the outer world affect your inner world so much. Make a list of all the good things in your life.

Action for Happiness from Mrs Liversidge: Find the joy in music today: sing, play, dance or listen. I don't need an excuse to do any of these things, so will definitely be doing the first, third and fourth! Let's see if we can keep the rain away today by powering through some good music. Make sure you share control of the devices you might be using to stream/play music and be kind to your family while you take turns.

The easy stuff is fun and quick, it’s true. However, to expand the mind, you must push it to its limits just as you would a muscle. The hard stuff makes you think; it causes you to re-read over and over again until you understand it. Challenge yourself today.

Action for Happiness from Mrs Liversidge: Write a letter to thank someone for what they did. In your head, try to make a list of everyone who does something for you and your family during the week. A letter, a thank you, a thumbs up, a huge smile means such a lot to people so who can you make feel great today? How does it make you feel? You could take a photo and send it as a picture or email it.

Action for Happiness from Mrs Liversidge: Smile and be friendly, even while you're social distancing. This will be an easy one for you as you are all naturally smiley!Try to increase the number of times you smile instead, as every time you do your brain releases happy hormones into your body. Happy Friday!

Mrs Khan’s THOUGHT OF THE DAY: “All your dreams can come true if you have the courage to pursue them” – Walt Disney- following your dreams takes a lot of work and can often be scary. However, if you gather as much courage as you can and go for it anyway, your dreams will have a better chance of coming true. You may experience setbacks, but just keep going and never give up. Action for Happiness from Mrs Liversidge: Show your appreciation to those who are helping others. Simply saying thank you and taking a moment to think about those who are helping others can really help you to remember to be grateful. There is so much to appreciate at the moment - why not take the time to find it!

Action for Happiness from Mrs Liversidge: Re-frame a worry and try to find a positive way to respond. If a worry pops into your head, answer it with a positive thought such as "Yes, but..." and find all the positive things that are good instead.

Mrs Khan’s THOUGHT OF THE DAY: Listen to everyone and learn from everyone, because nobody knows everything but everyone knows something. The importance of education can not be stressed enough. Make a list of reasons why you think learning is valuable for you. How will this improve your life?

Action for Happiness from Mrs Liversidge: Decide to look for what's good, even on the difficult days. Try to think of a sound, a taste, a happy memory or favourite song if you have a moment where you feel a bit low today. That low feeling will pass and you have space then for all the happy thoughts.

Action for Happiness from Mrs Liversidge: Find a way to craft what you are doing to give it more meaning. This could be experimenting with using imaginative words in your tasks today, speaking with expression, collecting items from the garden which are different shades of green, or simply making something fun by talking about it to someone as you do it. This is what memories are made of!

Mrs Khan’s THOUGHT OF THE DAY: In a world in which you can be anything, be kind.

What does it mean to be kind? Think about ways in which you can show kindness to those around you. How many acts of kindness can you achieve today?

Action for Happiness from Mrs Liversidge: Hand write a note to someone you love or miss and send them a photo of it. This act of kindness will make you feel really happy, as well as the person who receives it. Can you think of a funny joke to use in it? Maybe they will write you a note too.

Join in with the Clap for the NHS at 8pm or maybe give a little clap every time you see the rainbow or wash your hands.

Action for Happiness from Mrs Liversidge: Today do something to care for the natural world. You could turn off a light when it's not needed, turn the TV off properly - not leave it on standby, don't leave those taps running, think about what you can recycle rather than throw away and maybe water some plants in your garden. They won't have had a drink since the weekend!
